About ASARI
The African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) launched by UM6P in Laayoune in 2020 within the Foum Eloued technopole project focuses on several research and development programs including biosaline agriculture, native species valorisation, camel value chain, water and renewable energy. The institute consists of a multidisciplinary team of agronomists, biochemists, molecular biologists, bioprocess specialists, animal scientist, etc to respond to regional challenges affecting marginal environments.
Job Summary
Training coordinator will work with project leads and donor to develop and design training which suitable with relevant area, including develop budget, timeline and curriculum, select beneficiaries, etc. Coordinate and implement training in several areas for farmers, technicians, engineers, students, etc.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
· Work very closely with project lead and assist in day to day activities including programming of the capacity building activities.
· Assist in organizing and conducting project inception, midterm, and wrap-up workshops.
· Assist in organizing scientific events such as workshops and conferences
· Prepare schedule for field demonstrations, surveys and training programmes, including identification of local partners, farmers and farmers groups or individual households, who are potentially interested in the pilot experiments.
· Coordinate all educational activities related to training programs such as graduate and post-graduate programs, executive education, executive certifications, etc.
· Prepare schedule and identify appropriate suppliers and assist in negotiating and contracting process for equipment, material and services procurement needed to implement training activities
· Prepare a quarterly work plan in consultation with all stakeholders, project leads, project implementing partners, donors, etc.
· Support to the development of communication and partnership arrangements and development of a coordination mechanism between partners, farmers and cooperatives
· Elaborate training related reports, brochures and publications
The candidate will also be expected to help maintain all field and laboratory equipment, order supplies as needed, and help maintain research plot records. Responsibilities also involve frequent travelling to different experimental platforms and farmers fields at national and international level
